Devotional:

We will never look into the eyes of someone who isn't loved by God. These words are so powerful and speak so much truth. We are chosen and were chosen before the foundation of the world. God knew every decision we would make. I once heard someone say that God did not count the hairs on each of our heads, but he numbered them. Do you realize how awesome that is? We have a creator who loved us so much that he took the time to number the hairs on our heads. He had an exact plan, design, and purpose for each of us. When I think about this idea of being chosen, created, and called, I often think about the story of the woman who was so desperate for healing from Jesus that she thought if only she could touch the hem of his robe, then, she would be healed. While she didn't know that being sick for 12 years was a part of the plan, God did, and he used that, and she not only was healed from her sickness but was saved because of her faith in Jesus. Maybe you may be going through a season in your life right now where you may be struggling to see the purpose that God has for you. Maybe you are thinking if only you could touch the hem of Jesus' robe. If that happened all the wisdom and answers you have been praying for will fall into place. Psalm 139:13-14 says, "For you created my inmost being: you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful I know that full well." David, the author of this Psalm writes with so much passion and places a great emphasis on this idea and trusted that God still cared. David trusted in the plan and purpose that God had for him and trusted the God will continue to sustain him in every season of his life. As you go about your week and even through the areas of your life that you are praying for. Trust that God has gone before and prepared a way for you.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

I just pray for the person on the other end reading this devotional. Remind them of who they are in Christ. They are fearfully and wonderfully made, show them how to live a life fully surrendered and to trust you in each in every step.

Amen

Application:

Write down your prayers and see how God has moved in your life. Write down how God has used you for his plan and purpose. Look for ways throughout your week to seek the presence of God.
